Quantum Tinkerer group

We design quantum electronic devices using a toolbox of modern condensed matter: a combination of superconductivity, spin manipulation, and geometric single electron control. Because these systems are too complex for analytical approach, we combine the analysis with numerical simulations in Python, for which we develop new algorithms. A special focus of our research is Majorana particles:

these superpositions of an electron being present and absent at the same time allow to hide quantum information from an observer and implement a protected quantum computer.
